Develop the Whole You

“During my time of career transition, Peg was very supportive and helped keep me on track and focused with useful suggestions and tools for my job search. Together, we worked on updating and reformatting my resume, as well as my LinkedIn profile. We analyzed different job opportunities and she helped me weigh different options. I felt very comfortable with her compassionate yet direct approach. Peg is results-orientened which is exactly what I needed.”

Does this sound like you?

  • Looking for that first job out of college

  • Going back to work after taking some time off

  • Not happy and looking for a change

  • Company has downsized and you’re looking for something new

If any of these sound like you: I specialize in working with those needing a new direction in their career. Not in the right job? Time to move on? I also help those returning to work after taking time off to focus on other aspects of their lives. I work with new college grads and those in their twenties looking for that first job or a follow up to the job that didn’t work out. Lastly I help those in high school preparing their college essays, doing mock interviews and looking for internships.

I believe that Career Counseling involves “Developing the Whole You” – looking at yourself as a whole person and making sure that you are happy in what you chose to spend your days doing.

I became a career coach not only for the joy of helping others, but to combine my counseling skills with my organizational psychology and recruiting acumen in order to help people reach their full potential.

I see the search process through the lens as both a job coach and as a recruiter.

I am well versed in all aspects of job counseling, resume review, interview preparation, personal statements, job selection, negotiation, cover letters and thank you notes.

As a recruiter, I am familiar with job searches: both contingency and retainer. I am comfortable with candidate coaching; I know what the employer is looking for.

I look at the whole person – their academic, career, and personal aspirations. My goal is helping an individual become the best person that he or she can be.

We can talk about where you have been, where you see yourself now and where you see yourself in the future, to develop your career plan. The goal is to find out what you would like to do and present yourself in the best light. If you are ready to take that next step, to explore or just touch up your resume, please contact me and we can set up a session.
